Hair serum capsules: what they are and how to use them
Hair serum capsules hold small portions of leave-in hair oil serum. Get Glazy has three formulas for dry and damaged, wavy and curly, or coloured and bleached hair. Choose by your main hair concern, then adjust the amount to your length and thickness.
What is a hair serum capsule?
A hair serum capsule is a different way to package hair serum. Open it, spread a small amount between your palms and smooth it through your lengths and ends. The serum stays on your hair; there is no rinsing step.
A Get Glazy bottle contains 40 capsules. How long it lasts depends on your routine and the amount you use. A whole capsule is not necessarily the right amount for every head of hair.
Capsules and pump-bottle serums: what's different?
The main difference is how you dispense the serum:
- Pre-portioned format. Each capsule contains a portion of serum. You still choose how much your hair needs.
- Simple application. Open the capsule and dispense into your palms before applying.
- Individually sealed portions. Open a capsule when you are ready to apply your serum.
- Compact size. Take a few capsules with you when you want serum away from home. Keep them in their packaging and follow the storage directions.

- Get Glazy for coloured and bleached hair — for softness and shine in a colour-care routine.
How to use a leave-in hair serum capsule
Twist open a capsule. Spread a small amount of serum between your palms, then smooth it through mid-lengths and ends on damp or dry hair. Start with less on fine or short hair and add only if needed. Leave it in and style as usual.
Glazy contains Dimethicone, Dimethiconol and Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol, ingredients used in heat-protective hair care. For hot tools, follow the directions for your serum, heat-protection product and styling tool.

Frequently asked questions
Is a leave-in hair serum capsule good for curly hair?
It can fit into a curl routine as a finishing step. Choose the wavy and curly formula, start with a small amount through the lengths and ends, and keep your usual styling products if you want hold.
How often should I use hair serum capsules?
Follow your chosen formula's directions and adjust to your routine. You can apply serum to damp hair after washing or use a little on dry ends. Start with less if your hair feels coated.
How do I use serum with heated styling tools?
Glazy contains Dimethicone, Dimethiconol and Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol, ingredients used in heat-protective hair care. For hot tools, follow the directions for your serum, heat-protection product and styling tool.
How is a hair serum capsule different from a regular serum bottle?
The packaging and dispensing method differ. Capsules contain individual portions; a pump bottle lets you dispense from a larger container. With either format, use an amount suited to your hair and follow the product directions.
